The Miami High Times is Miami High's free, monthly student newspaper, the classroom (328) and the newsroom is located in 328A, on the third floor of the main building.

The newspaper began in October 1923, the oldest scholastic paper in Miami-Dade County--and one of the oldest amongst the nation.

The newspaper is the oldest organization at Miami Senior High.

The newsroom went through a major renovation project in July 2006. Redesigning the room completely, welcoming the new year. The current room consist of 15 Windows XP desktops, three printers, one flatbed scanner and several cameras. The room creates a modern working enviroment, while showcasing Times history by presenting many newspapers published throughout the years.

The paper will present new templates and designs for its upcoming issues.

The paper is designed using the page layout software Adobe PageMaker and photo editing program Adobe Photoshop.

The staff consist of over sixty members. The editorial board consist of the: Editor-in-Chief

News Editors
Graphics Editor
Layout Editor
Staff Writers
and the adviser

The newspaper is organized in six sections:

* 1. News : Normally occupies the first three pages of the newspaper and includes briefs.
* 2. Opinion : Includes Editorials, Op-Eds, Letters to the Editor and Editorial Cartoons. Also normally three pages.
* 3. Entertainment ...
* 4. Spread : Always the middle two pages. Focuses on one major theme.
* 5. Feature : Offers a wide variety of stories from the staff writers. Soon to include a similar column to the famous "Everyone Has A Story" articles.
* 6. Sports : Includes a section recognizing student athletes.

The newspaper is a member of the Florida Scholastic Press Association.
